Full article text:

After about eight months of construction by Streu Construction and Belonger, the Mishicot Road has been completed. Otherwise known as Highway 147, the Mishicot Road was built at the cost of a million and a half dollars for its six mile length. These six miles of pavement link this growing community with neighboring cities and provide access to its several enterprises.

Andercraft Woods, Inc. manufactures wood products which are distributed abroad and nationally by Gimbles, Marshall Field, and Hummel, Inc. Operated by Lyle and Carol Anderson, Andercraft employs 30 people. Fox Hills motel, din ing room and golf course serve as host to various groups from across the mid west. Florence Baugniet manages Fox Hills as well as Baugniet Mink, in which business he is assisted by his son Richard.

In the village of Mishicot, Krause’s Shopping Center, Krajnik Chevrolet, Anderle Building, and His Implement are examples of the growing business community. Construction of the new Mishicot office of the Two Rivers Savings Bank is in progress, an indication that the businessmen have confidence in the future of Mishicot.

Residents of the town play an active role in the Village Council, Lions Club, and Volunteer Fire Dept. They are proud of their modern schools. It’s a growing community and the new road will make travel to and from Mishicot more convenient for everyone.
