The club was organized in 1953 by Elvira Meineke and a group of Mishicot women and was affiliated with the Manitowoc County Homemakers Council. Other early members included Julia Peltier, Helen Pravachek, Mildred Schmidt, and Jeanette Heyroth.
Club members held monthly from meetings from September through May, often at club member homes. Membership was limited to 15 people. The club was active at least into the early 1990s.
