The village of Mishicot celebrated the opening of the Mishicot Museum
Saturday with dedication ceremonies at the structure, shown above.
Among those taking part in the festivities were, front from left in photo at left, Lila Dvorak, a member of the Thematic Committee of the Mishicot Area Growth and Improvement Committee (MAGIC); Roy J. Schmidt, who was presented a plaque honoring him as a major contributor to the museum; and Jeanette Heyroth, MAGIC president; as well as, back from left, state Rep. Dale Bolle; George Schmidt, Thematic Committee chairman; Walter Vogel, dedication speaker who is vice president of the Friends of the State Historical Society of Wisconsin and president of the Two Rivers Historical Society; and Doug Kieffer, Badger State Games Torch Run coordinator. The run, held earlier in the day, concluded at the museum.
